We hope April’s been treating you kindly so far 🌼 In this edition of our newsletter, we’re wrapping up March with exciting updates and opportunities from both EA Philippines and across the EA space—both locally and globally. Whether you’re looking to dive deeper into EA, get involved in upcoming events, or explore impactful career paths, there’s something here for you.
Let’s jump right in!
📣 Highlights
SPOTLIGHT: EA Philippines Summit Town Hall
EA Philippines, together with Dion Tan from the Centre for Effective Altruism, held a town hall last March 25 to announce that we are running a Summit this coming September! We answered key questions such as:
Why we decided to push for an EA Summit, rather than an EAGx
How you can be involved and express interest to be an organizer or volunteer
When you can generally expect the EA Summit to happen
What we’re excited for the event to be!
We are also happy to announce Sunta Cadiz and Robin Madlangbayan as lead organizers for the Summit. We wish you the best of luck, Sunta and Robin!
Access the recording of the town hall here and the slides here.
EA PH Komunidad: Paths to Impact
Last March 29, 2025, EA PH had the pleasure of welcoming four outstanding individuals to share with our community members their own paths to impact. Joseph Cubar, Kirsten Angeles, Althy Cendaña, and P.A. Echague offered us key and practical insights into choosing a career path that not only has high impact for good but that also serves as a good fit for you. You can access a recording of the event here.
